About Us

Vigil was founded in 1984 and is a registered charity that rescues and re-homes German Shepherd Dogs throughout the UK. The rescue is a non-profit organisation that is run entirely by unpaid volunteers, and we rely totally on donations from the general public to keep the rescue running. We are proud to be one of the few rescues in the UK that will take on problem dogs and work with them for us long as it takes to ensure the dog can be re-homed successfully. VIGIL German Shepherd Dog Rescue is a registered charity run by the board of trustees.
